Film & TV Music

This collection showcases my original compositions created specifically for film, television, and visual media. Each piece is written to complement and enhance the moving image — whether it’s music crafted to a specific brief, synced precisely to picture, or designed to sit subtly around dialogue and emotion. From atmospheric underscoring to bold thematic writing, these works explore how sound and story intertwine to deepen the cinematic experience.

The Seventh SenseRicki Churchill
00:00 / 01:23

"The Seventh Sense" was specifically composed to complement a visual sequence for a film production using a reverse engineered technique.. This piece serves as the opening theme for a psychological thriller TV series.

The Last Knight Ricki Churchill
00:00 / 00:42

The piece titled "The Last Knight" was crafted to synchronise with the opening titles of the Netflix series "The Last Kingdom." For this composition, I incorporated organic instrumentation to evoke the historical era and lend authenticity to the music.

Sweet Symphony Ricki Churchill
00:00 / 01:56

"Sweet Symphony" was crafted to synchronise with a scene from the Incredibles Movie. This composition employs predominantly orchestral instrumentation, drawing inspiration from the Romanticism period to evoke a sense of emotion.

"Vikings Call" created for the opening credits for the Netflix series "The Vikings".

"Eclipse" was created for the opening title "Expanse".

Rock composition created in sync to a sports video.

Music created for a war video montage to fit around the dialogue, {the following content may contain graphic or violent images, or themes that may be upsetting to viewers}

"Who's That Coming" is a foreboding and suspenseful composition tailored for film production. Crafted from a brief supplied by Universal Studios, this piece was created as background music to  accompany a scene that featured a woman's escalating fear as she realises she's being followed and subsequently chased through eerie, fog-laden woodlands in a horror film setting.

"Timeless Melody" is a composition crafted specifically for the end credits of a film set in the 1990s. It features an instrumental arrangement in G major, employing guitars with a blend of clean and slightly distorted tones, reminiscent of the indie style popular during that era. The inspiration for this piece stemmed from a composition created when I was 15  years old, rediscovered when I  stumbled upon an old cassette recording. My favourite element is the melodic solo towards the end, adding a touch of nostalgia and charm. Overall, "Timeless Melody" exudes simplicity yet playfulness, quite suited for its intended purpose.

"The Last Dance" slow and playful guitar composition, composed and performed by myself.

"Into the Light" this is a guitar instrumental based around a guitar loop I composed in B major.
